Artifact Description

Students created fog in a bottle earlier in the week to help them better understand this concept. We discussed the "beetle headstand" movement and used the UCLA slide notes. Not many of my students are familiar with fog. They weren't sure if they could feel the effects of it, like they could feel the effects of rain.

Students could tell me that fog was filled with moisture and that this moisture would lead to water. They also thought that this moisture would settle on the ground and the beetle would dig into the sand that receive water from that source.
